I agree. Ours gets 7.5Lt/100km on a trip. There's not much "around town" down here but going to town & back 50km gets 8 to 8.5. Same as yours 666, 02 TJ Advance auto (you little devil LOL). Better mileage than my bike 83 Honda CB1100F at 9Lt/100km.

Im very much doubting these numbers unless your town driving is constant 80kmh? Or is mine just that uneconomical?

I suggest getting fuel filter or injectors looked at if getting worse.
last time I filled up 61.9L around town got 570km gentle driving equals 10.8L/100km 95% city km
A lot of mine is around 60-80km/hr driving and I reckon it would get worse in the stop/start peak times, luckily I get to pick when I start work (and I prefer to start early in the morning so miss all of those headaches) going home as well I like to work a bit longer to miss the traffic. Round trip to work is about 40 km so not really a short run either.
